On the move

You guessed it...

Christopher started crawling this weekend.  I'm so proud of him!  And, let me tell you.... we're learning very quickly where we need to babyproof.  He took a few "steps" forward yesterday morning and by last night, he could make it across the living room.

Not only is he crawling but, he can also pull himself up on to his knees and feet!  I wasn't prepared for that to happen so fast.  I thought it would happen in stages.  He would master crawling and then pull up to his knees and then start standing.  It all happened at the same time!

Here's how I found him yesterday morning.
(Thank God we lowered his crib last weekend.  I also had to put the bumpers in because he kept getting his feet caught between the bars.  He woke up twice screaming because he was caught and trying to roll away, which was twisting his leg. I really debated on whether to put them in because of the safety risks but in the end, I decided it was better to have them):

Hi Mom!

Look at me go!

Kendall is also making progress.  She's still doing push-ups and scoots on her belly.  She can't quite get her knees underneath her but, I bet she'll be crawling by next month.

They both started demonstrating the pincer grasp so, I introduced finger foods this weekend.  Christopher got it in his mouth and actually started chewing.  Kendall also got it in her mouth but gagged.  That's ma girl!

We love bath time!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend!

I love all of the pics, but especially love the one of Kendall with her arms behind her head! So cute :)

I like those bath seats, too -- did you get them at Babies R Us?

That's great the Christopher is crawling and pulling up - sounds like Kendall isn't far behind!

omg. you totally need to babyproof. it is never-ending, i swear! i guess it can never be completely safe, right?

how do you like the bath chairs? i'm debating them so the kids can take a bath together. how long do you think that they will be in them?
