Feel the Burn!

No, I didn't buy a 1980's workout video.

I's gots da hoyt-burn. And I'm not talking a little matchstick here. Ooooh no! It's a burnin' inferno that would make Ernest Bourgnine jealous!

It's so bad that I actually had a vurp today. I was talking to a co-worker and had what I thought would be a little indigestion burp. But, nay! It brought a whole river of nastiness with it - all the way to my mouth. I was both disgusted and surprised at the same time and then quickly tried to disguise the molten lava that had just poured into my throat.

I know, I know. It's disgusting. But, we're a bunch of women who are striving to push a watermelon out of our nether regions so I thought you could handle it.

I have 5 possible (and plausible) reasons for the heartburn:

  1. The embryologist secretly loaded baby dragons into the catheter at transfer time. And, no.... it's not that cute little Puff the Magic Dragon, either!
  2. Things are so dead "down there" that a brush fire has started
  3. The embryos are using blow torches to invade my ironclade uterus
  4. I just needed a reason to reference Johnny Cash's "Ring Of Fire" song
  5. It's Mother Nature's way of telling me to lay off the Chik Fil-A

OK, so I really know it's from the PIO shots but Holy Mother of Jeebus!

Today is also 3dp3dt and along with the hoyt-burn, I've got the usual PIO side effects of sore bum, sore boobies and crampy crampiness. I haven't decided if I'm going to tempt the HPT goddess this go-round. As you may remember, I got a little, what's the word? Oh yeah.

O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D, the last time.

I'm guessing that if I did decide to test, I wouldn't get anything until Sunday or Monday anyway. Beta is scheduled for March 20th.

I'm still waiting to hear whether our other 2 have made it. I talked to my nurse coordinator yesterday afternoon and she didn't have any news. Not sure if that's good or bad? I didn't get a call today so either they're growing GIANT eggs or there's not much action to report.

Alright, I'm off to pop more TUMS!

Sorry for the burn - I hate that!!

Sounds like you're 1/2 way thru the 2ww ... perhaps the burn will all be worth it ... I don't know, when you get a + pee stick in about a week?

Looking forward to a GREAT update!
